The Results Are In...

USC Sports Talk asked which USC football player will benefit the most from returning for their senior season. The results are in, and the majority of fans believe defensive end Lawrence Jackson will benefit the most from his senior season.

LoJack will line up for the Trojans in his 4th season as a starter. LoJack needs to improve upon last years numbers where he tallied 47 tackles, 4 sacks, 1 interception, 3 pass deflections, and one forced fumble. Jackson's inability to produce big numbers last season can be partially attributed to the 3-4 defense that was instituted last season due to lack of depth on the d-line and an abundance of talent at linebacker. This season with Sedrick Ellis returning for his senior season and the presence of Fili Moala, Kyle Moore, and Everson Griffen on the line LoJack is poised to have a monster year. A year that could see him improve upon the 10 sacks he recorded in 2005.

Lawrence Jackson appears on the 2007 Bednarik Award watch list, the award for college football's defensive player of the year.

Here are the complete results from the poll:

  1. 32% Lawrence Jackson
  2. 29% Keith Rivers
  3. 13.3% Sedrick Ellis
  4. 12.8% Sam Baker
  5. 12.4% Terrell Thomas
