That is the question. We asked the fans what today's margin of victory would be over the Vandals. The final tally was close, however the majority of fans believe that the Trojans will demolish Idaho by 41-50 points.
Only 53% percent of fans believe that we will score over 41 points. I guess those fans have their money on Idaho today. Here are the complete results...
32% 41-50 pts
26% 31-40
21% 50+
17% 21-30
4% Less than 21

Tailback- Who?
USC Sports Talk asked which position battle fans are most looking forward to. The results are in and fans are overwhelmingly anticipating the battle at tailback. Here are the final results...
84% Running Back
9% Wide Receiver
3% Safety
1% Defensive End
1% Cornerback
1% Other
The battle for the #2 wide receiver spot is still wide open. It appears that David Ausberry has closed the gap on Vidal Hazelton who was named the #2 wideout after spring practice. Ausberry has impressed so much this fall that Carroll is considering starting both Patrick Turner and David Ausberry. Freshmen Ronald Johnson and Brandon Carswell have been getting a lot of reps with the injuries to Travon Patterson and Jamere Holland.
One thing is for certain about the battle between the defensive backs and that is that Josh Pinkard will be a starter. He has been working with the first team at safety and cornerback and started in today's scrimmage at corner. It's beginning to look like Mays and Ellison will start at Safety with Terrell Thomas and Pinkard at corner. Cary Harris and Mozique McCurtis will be the first DBs off the bench.
As for the battle at defensive end... there is no battle at defensive end. Kyle Moore has looked great so far this camp. Everson Griffen has been showing improvement but Moore is on another level.
After a week of practice here is how I would rank the running backs.

- Chauncey Washington- Is finally starting to look like the Thunder & Lightning combination that we've been waiting to see. Get your C-Dub t-shirts now because he's going to be a monster this year.
- Stafon Johnson- The local 5-star All-American is giving fans what they've been waiting for. Based on production, Stafon has been the best back the first week of fall camp.
- C.J. Gable
- Allen Bradford- BEAST. Enough said.
- Desmond Reed
- Emmanuel Moody
- Joe McKnight
- Broderick Green
- Hershel Dennis- Injured
- Marc Tyler- Injured

The Results Are In...
USC Sports Talk asked which USC football player will benefit the most from returning for their senior season. The results are in, and the majority of fans believe defensive end Lawrence Jackson will benefit the most from his senior season.

LoJack will line up for the Trojans in his 4th season as a starter. LoJack needs to improve upon last years numbers where he tallied 47 tackles, 4 sacks, 1 interception, 3 pass deflections, and one forced fumble. Jackson's inability to produce big numbers last season can be partially attributed to the 3-4 defense that was instituted last season due to lack of depth on the d-line and an abundance of talent at linebacker. This season with Sedrick Ellis returning for his senior season and the presence of Fili Moala, Kyle Moore, and Everson Griffen on the line LoJack is poised to have a monster year. A year that could see him improve upon the 10 sacks he recorded in 2005.
Lawrence Jackson appears on the 2007 Bednarik Award watch list, the award for college football's defensive player of the year.
Here are the complete results from the poll:

Pac-10 Competition
The poll results are in...
We asked which team has the best chance of finishing second in the Pac-10 and we have a tie! Oregon and Berkeley tied for the top spot, each collecting 34% of the votes. Here are the results:
1) Oregon 34%
1) UCB 34%
3) Oregon St. 12%
4) Arizona 11%
5) Washington St. 6%
6) Arizona St. 4%
Berkeley will return some key offensive weapons on in Justin Forskin and DeSean "You Shouldn't Talk Shit Before The Game" Jackson. The Bears will also start the season with experience at the QB position with Nate Not-So-Longshore. However the Bears will need to replace two All-Americans on the defensive side of the ball. Junior tailback Jonathon Stewart should keep the Oregon offense running smoothly. However they will need to find some consistency at quarterback.
The tie breaker is going to have to come down to their schedules. Cal has a pretty weak non-conference schedule as does Oregon with the exception of one "tough" game @ Michigan. Both teams play USC at home, not that it matters. So the edge has to go to Oregon since they play Berkeley at home after a relaxing game against Stanford.

2008 BCS Championship: USC vs LSU
According to our latest poll, fans want to see USC vs. LSU in the national championship game. The margin was slim, however, as LSU edged out the defending champion Florida Gators by just two votes.
This is an interesting choice because there has been something of a rivalry brewing between the fans of each school after they split the 2003 National Championship. USC fans had a legitimate beef in 2003, because as you all remember, the Trojans were left out of the BCS title game, despite being ranked #1 in both human polls. But the chatter has been pretty one-sided, as seen by LSU fans, who went as far as putting up the billboard below across the Coliseum. Fast forward to February 2007, when USC signed the top football recruit in the nation, and Louisiana's own, Joe McKnight. McKnight has been called the next Reggie Bush by some recruiting analysts, but he angered many LSU fans who assumed that he would stay home and play at LSU. I personally want a piece of Florida or the high-octane offense from West Virginia. But since I'm not too fond of LSU, I wouldn't mind putting them away on the field, thus ending all this talk about the "REAL" 2003 champion.
Texas came in as a close 3rd, I guess Trojan fans are still bitter about that loss in the 2006 Rose Bowl. The sorry Big Ten (which has 11 teams, by the way) got the least votes with Ohio State and Michigan getting a combined 7 votes. I too am tired of beating up on teams from a conference that offers no more competition than a team from the WAC.
Here are the final tallies (87 total votes):
LSU 30 votes
Florida 28
Texas 22
Ohio State 5
Michigan 2

Booty 2 Hazelton
According to USC Sports Talk's latest poll, the leading receiver for the upcoming season will be Vidal Hazelton. Hazelton played in 11 games last season, recording only 1 reception for 8 yards. With the dynamic duo of Steve Smith and Dwayne Jarrett on the field, Hazelton got very little playing time his freshman year. Hazelton looks to receive a lot more playing time and footballs as he competes for the starting receiver spot opposite junior Patrick Turner.

Hazelton had a great spring, displaying excellent hands and agility, and has positioned himself as the man-to-beat for playing time. He managed to hold off talented sophomores Travon Patterson and David Ausberry to finish the spring #2 on the depth chart. Nothing is set in stone and Hazelton will have to work hard this fall to hold off the competition, including incoming freshman Ronald Johnson.
Here are the complete results...
Vidal Hazelton (39%)
Patrick Turner (35%)
David Ausberry (12%)
Joe McKnight (5%)
Travon Patterson (4%)
Ronald Johnson (3%)
Jamere Holland (2%)
Fred Davis
Brandon Carswell
Good luck to all the receivers. The competition this fall should be great.

Broderick Green
Here are the final results from our poll...
I can only assume that a lot of readers mistakenly voted for Green thinking they were voting for Joe McKnight. I think Green is an extremely talented running back and should be very successful at USC, but I'm all but certain that he will redshirt this season.
