Countdown to Kickoff: 54 Days

As we continue on our daily countdown towards the 2007 season, we are now at 54. A highly touted incoming freshman will be rocking jersey #54 for the Trojans this season, let's introduce LB Chris Galippo...

The 6'2" 235 lbs. linebacker from Anaheim's Servite High School is a very talented player will be hard to keep off the field. He was on everyone's high school All-American team and showed why with an impressive performance in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, earning the game's MVP. Galippo will be one of the top backups at linebacker and should be a demon on special teams. It's critical that Galippo earns some playing experience this season because starting weakside linebacker Keith Rivers is a senior, and starting middle linebacker Rey Maualuga may forgo his senior season and enter the 2008 NFL Draft.
