Countdown to Kickoff: 46 Days

As we continue on our daily countdown towards the 2007 season, we have arrived at 46. Wearing #46 for the Trojans is redshirt freshmen outside linebacker Michael Morgan, AKA Slim. A 4-star recruit out of Dallas, TX, the 6'2" 200lb Morgan was given the nickname Slim by linebackers coach Ken Norton Jr.


Last year Morgan suffered a back injury that sidelined him for the season. I'm not sure as to whether or not Morgan's back is 100%, (if anyone has any info feel free to give me an update). I know he did not fully participate in spring ball. I recall watching him run laps around Howard Jones during the final spring scrimmage.

Morgan is currently listed 3rd on the depth chart at the Will linebacker spot behind Keith Rivers and Kaluka Maiava. If healthy, Morgan should get plenty of pt on special teams this season. Morgan will likely get some reps at linebacker in the Idaho game and many other blowout games.
