Countdown to Kickoff: 27 Days

The daily countdown to kickoff continues as we are now only 27 days away from the start of the 2007 season. Representing #27 for the Trojans this year is incoming freshmen safety Marshall Jones from Oaks Christian.


Jones is a tremendous athlete and brings his versatility and hard-nosed style of play to a safety position that is already loaded with talent. Jones excelled at Oaks Christian playing safety, wide receiver, and some running back behind Marc Tyler. Delivering brutal hits at all three positions. The title of the article alone suggests the perfect mentality you want your enforcing safety to have.

Jones may not get much playing time at safety, however fans should be able look forward to Jones laying people out on special teams.
