USCFootball.com is reporting that redshirt sophomore wide receiver Jamere Holland is saying good-bye to the football program. Holland has suffered from a number of injuries that have kept him off the football field since his arrival. Not getting the reps this fall, Holland fell behind redshirt freshman David Ausberry and true freshmen Ronald Johnson and Brandon Carswell on the depth chart. It's disappointing that we never got a chance to see Holland's speed in action on the football field. However we may still get a chance to see world-class track speed on the football field next year with Bryshon Nellum, who will be running for the Trojan track team this year as a freshmen.
It is unknown whether or not Holland will transfer to another school to play football or stay at SC and focus on track.
