As we continue on our daily countdown towards the 2007 season, we are now just 19 days away from the opening kickoff on September 1st against the Idaho Vandals. Number 19 will not be worn this season, in honor of USC's former kicker, the late Mario Danelo...

This photo was taken in 2005 after USC's dramatic victory at Notre Dame. The Trojans will dedicate this season to their fallen teammate and have painted a large 19 in cardinal and gold trim in the south end zone of the Howard Jones practice filed to pay tribute.
