Recruiting Update: Greg Monroe

Greg Monroe, the #1 rated high school junior, is still very undecided as to where he will be playing his college ball. According to an interesting article from nola.com Monroe states that there are 10 school that are intensely recruiting him. The list includes Kentucky, Kansas, Southern Cal, LSU, Duke, North Carolina, Louisville, Connecticut, Texas and Florida. Monroe's coach seems to believe that Greg has a few favorites picked, but Monroe refuses to give them up.

Monroe has four main criterion that he will use to guide him through the recruiting process.

-- Monroe favors joining a team that has an established program;

-- He is seeking a coach that can help him improve, in order to advance to the NBA;

-- A good academic program is important because Monroe plans to major in psychology;

-- Distance will not factor into his decision.

Tourney Tim has positioned himself nicely amongst the nations top college basketball coaches, in the battle for Monroe's signature. Lets hope that Floyd continues his hot streak in Louisiana.

Looks like Floyd will go to great lengths to get Monroe, but what about Brandon Jennings? What's his status

im not sure about brandon jennings. we're alotted 14 scholarships correct?
in 2008 we will have...
Dwight Lewis
Cromwell
Wilkinson
Kasey Cunningham
Kyle Austin
Marcus Simmons
Leonard Washington
Davon Jefferson
Mamadou Diarra
Demar Derozan
Angelo Johnson
Malik Story
Taj Gibson(nba draft possibility)

Daniel Hackett(free tuition)
Percy Miller(walk-on)
OJ Mayo(NBA)

If Taj Gibson stays we would only have one scholarship. If Monroe commits I dont know where that would leave brandon jennings.

did you see this video on Jennings? he seems VERY open
