Jennings Out of the Mix

TrojanNYC is reporting that USC is no longer in the running for Brandon Jennings' commitment. According to TrojanNYC Jennings list of schools includes Arizona and UConn as co-leaders and Kansas as his number three. If this is true USC will have lost out on the top point guard in the country. However this doesn't dramatically hurt our 2008 recruiting class. Tourney Tim is still bringing in one of the best and most athletic shooting guards in the country in Demar Derozan. It also appears that Floyd did an excellent job securing the point guard spot in the event that Jennings didn't come through on his verbal. Rivals has nice video on Trojan commit Angelo Johnson from Stoneridge Prep. He appears to be an extremely talented point guard that can shoot from beyond the arch, distribute, and take it to the rim.

USC is still in the mix for Greg Monroe, but no news from the Monroe camp. Floyd is also going after another Louisiana big man, Terrance Henry. Henry is underrated by most recruiting websites, as he is only a three star prospect on Rivals. Nonetheless the 6'9" power forward is being recruited by all the major schools including Kansas, Kentucky and Florida.

Wrong he is still considering USC.

Thank you for the correction. Do you know what schools are still in the mix and who's at the top of the list?

TrojanNYC is probably reasoning that if USC is no longer on the top of Jennings' list then there is little likelihood of a commitment. Not necessarily off his list.
