As we continue on our countdown towards the 2007 season, #79 on our list honors USC's All-World Offensive Tackle Sam Baker...
The 2005 All-American provides a security blanket for QB John David Booty, and can get nasty in the running game too (as seen above) as he opens holes for any of our 10 million running backs. Baker is a virtual lock to be selected in the top 10 of next year's NFL Draft, and will be key in getting USC's offense back to being explosive. I want to take this time to remind everyone how special this guy is. Everyone always talks about the so-called "skill positions" because they look pretty making plays and scoring touchdowns, but those guys wouldn't be shit without the big hogs up front. So here's to you Sam, as we all (especially us here at USC Sports Talk) are looking forward to seeing you pancake the opposition this fall. Your work will not go unnoticed.
Fight On!
