Countdown to 2009 Kickoff: 89 Days

We're 89 days away from the 2009 kickoff. Who better to represent the countdown than sophomore Blake Ayles. He proved that USC can beat you in so many ways... as seen in the Ohio St. game where Ayles, a freshman back-up tight end scored one of the Trojans' many touchdowns.

USC 35 - Ohio St. 3

USC destroyed Ohio St. in the alleged "Game of the Year" this past Saturday, 35-3. In what was supposed to be a hard fought, close game, Ohio St. simply bent over and let USC have their way with them. Mark Sanchez threw 4 TD passes and cemented his place in the Heisman race.

We all knew Ohio St. sucked ass, but I guess we didn't realize the extent of the damage. "Star" RB Chris Beanie Wells sat out the game and ends his Heisman campaign in street clothes. For all of the Ohio St. fans trying to rationalize their miserable lives, face the facts: Beanie Wells would not have made a difference. USC dominated Ohio St. in every aspect of the game and unless Beanie can play at all 11 positions on the defensive side of the ball, his so called talents wouldn't have mattered in lessening the beat down this past weekend.

Pussy.

Star LB Rey Maualuga showed why he is the best linebacker in the nation with a great game that included his first career touchdown with a 48 yard interception return. Big Rey outplayed, out-hustled, and out-classed that piece of shit James Laurinaitis the entire game.

Fuck Laurinaitis.

In other great news, fucla still fucking sucks...

All in all, a great weekend for the Trojans. Next stop: at Oregon St. on Sept. 25.

Don't Sleep

As you will see from the video below, it appears that there are some Ohio St. fans that slept through the last two seasons of college football. Apparently they either missed or have forgotten that their football team was embarrassed two years in a row in the BCS National Championship game. One buckeye fan still has hope...



Memo to Ohiopherks: check your schedule. Your wonderful "dream" will unfortunately come to a horrific end following the complete dismantling of your football team at the hands of Pete Carroll and the Trojans. The only dreams you'll be having after September 13th will be terrifying nightmares. You'll wake up in the middle of the night in a pool of your or sweat, screaming in horror... "someone stop that beast!"

Countdown to 2008 Kickoff: 89 Days

Greetings from USC Sports Talk. We've been idle here on the blog for weeks now, but we had all sorts of stuff going on. Semester projects and finals got in the way of everything so we apologize for the lack of updates. We also had graduation spring up out of nowhere. Now that we've entered the lull of summer, we can keep our focus on chilling and counting down to the 2008 college football season.

As we start our daily countdown towards the 2008 season, we begin with the number 89. USC doesn't have anyone on the roster wearing that number, so I'll just throw a few select pics from the summer workouts going on at Howard Jones Field.
