Future Trojan looking good

Ryan Boatright made a huge splash in the summer of 2007 when he accepted a scholarship offer from Tim Floyd and verbally committed to the Trojans before deciding on which local high school he would attend. At the time I searched the internet looking for highlights of Boatright, but apparently Rivals.com hadn't tapped into the Middle School basketball market yet.

Its been nearly two years since making his pledge to play for the Trojans and Boatright has just finished up his sophomore season at East Aurora High School in Illinois. Today I came across this YouTube video with highlights from an East Aurora basketball game in January.

You'll need to fast-forward to the second half to see highlights of Boatright #22...

He looks like he has a smooth jump shot and definitely knows how to get to the basket. Obviously one cannot evaluate a player based on 5 highlights from one game, but I liked what I saw. This spring/summer will be big for Boatright as many high school juniors-to-be look to make a name for themselves on the AAU circuit. Best of luck to Boatright and his continued development.

Fight On!
